We had a girls bake-off yesterday at Christin's, and it was definitely a fun time. We were expecting a lot of girls, but it ended up as just a small few. Large groups are great, but the small, intimate gatherings are so much fun...

We baked:

And because we finished cookies much earlier than anticipated, we took a walk, and ended up at the playground... :D

The Lord provided me with a pretty cool backyard view last night, and a great reminder of just how small I am. I couldn't help but add the verse to the picture...

The old has passed away...

At Hilltop today... the hog barn started it's journey toward oblivion. I didn't realize until it was almost too late just how many great treasures were just beyond the doors of that once very inhabited barn. I had every intention of just visiting for a few short minutes to capture the exterior of the barn before it was destroyed, but of course, I'm entirely incapable of putting aside a potential photography adventure.

I went inside, and just started snapping the camera, and... it was fantastic! I'll post pics up on the Facebook soon, but for right now, I'll show you a snapshot of a very cool, very old truck door that I plan on finding a home for.

I'm not sure what to do with it yet, but I can't just let it go to a scrap yard. Any ideas?

Just wanted to inform y'all of my semi-new photography site. I've had it for awhile, but it's now ready for the public to see. :) So, if you have some spare time, go and check it out.

A few goals for these upcoming months:

* learn to roller-blade
* find a good recipe for chicken
* buy a sewing machine and make something similar to this
* turn 23 in style :)
* figure out layers in Photoshop

I guess I should probably be in bed right now, but oh well. It's difficult to fall asleep when my mind is still moving so fast.

I finally buckled down these past two days and worked on my resume. It's a blessing to know that it's a few lines short of being done. Hopefully, along with a completed resume will come a substantial job. I'm weary of describing myself as a Liberal Arts graduate who is searching for work.

AND... hopefully, along with a completed resume, and a substantial job will come a relocation. My mom frequently reminds me- "moving out isn't Biblical", to which I only respond with silence and a nod. Talking about moving out only causes tension, so during conversations having to do with it, the Lord has on many occasions placed a much needed guard over my mouth.

I'm sure the time to move out and away will come soon enough, but in the meantime, interior decorating books give me quite the release. :)

Well, I guess I'll head off to bed now... I'd like to be at least somewhat alert for the busy day tomorrow. Before I go, here are a few verses the Lord has encouraged my heart with this week... I'm hoping they'll do the same for you.

"I will give thanks to You, O Lord, among the peoples; I will sing praises to You among the nations. For Your lovingkindness is great to the heavens and Your truth to the clouds. Be exalted above the heavens, O God; Let Your glory be above all the earth." -Psalm 57:9-11
